After all of the drama of last night, today felt oddly calm. High-stakes for sure but not quite as much so...we were the only ones doing a retrieval this morning so got the awesome nurse all to ourselves. Our least favorite doctor was on today and she started off by telling us that given the low estrogen we might not get any eggs or they may be of low quality. Or it could be a total red herring....thanks for the upbeat kick-off to this process.
That said, it was less of an ordeal than we had expected - took about 20 minutes all told. We got 8 eggs, no news on the quality until the fertilization report tomorrow. But for now we are satisfied with the progress. Go eggs, go!
