it doesnt feel possible to use this analogy without at least commenting on the marathon explosions. we feel very lucky that all of our friends and family are safe ---but saddened for our city. we know too many people who were in the area, who were right AT the finish line minutes before the blasts. this is the first year in the past 39 that my father-in-law, with a roughly 4:20 finish, has not run, we have been at that very spot in past years cheering him on -- its odd to say, but thank god for cancer. my biggest fear is that this will turn into an international witch hunt, but i am trying to remain confident that we can rise above the hate and fear and focus on the helpers.
and in other races, W's folis continue to grow, albeit slowly. with 10 days of stimming under her belt the biggest foli is at 15 so the are expecting at least day or two more of stimming before a likely thursday trigger and saturday ER. its a few days later than we had expected but we are trying out the slow-and-steady-wins-the-race mantra. and again, no one seems concerned so, maybe it is a long game. at this point, its been over a year of TTC so whats a day or two more...

I had a very similar reaction to the news about Boston. My dad has run that marathon every year for the last 7 or so, but didn't this year because my mom is still recovering from heart surgery. Strange that that has been a blessing.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of IVF stuff, it does sound like there's no reason to be concerned if the docs aren't. Onward!
