Well, thats a first!

Last night we did our first at home ICI, -- It was actually our first solo experience with frozen sperm, and ended up being an exercise in both frustration and hilarity.... Thanks to the Figgmamas we had a game plan for timing, thawing and insemination. Unfortunately it didnt work out as easily as we had hoped as I had a ton of trouble finding W's os so we reverted to Plan B, a la, The Wonderful Brill -- and just squirted it "up there" and said a little prayer.

It was nice to do it at home, alone without the complicated logistics of FFF or our KD. We got to lie in bed, listening to the wave sounds from Izzy's white noise machine next door and think about how excited we would be to have #2. W will go back (most likely) tomorrow morning to have an IUI at FFF. They have a *stupid* policy that they will only do IUIs on the morning after a morning peak. Since W didnt get a positive OPK until last night, that means this morning's + will start their time clock.  A bit later/further apart then what we had hoped (all told 36 hours after her +) but we are happy to have this early *bonus* ICI to cover our bases.
