Let the anxiety begin!

W is certainly the worrier in our relationship, but there is something about the early days of pregnancy (or in our case TENTATIVE early pregnancy) that causes everyone to loose their mind, loose sleep and start the dreaded cycle of sleep-deprived-anxiety! You know the feeling when you are laying in bed at 2am feeling overwhelmed about some minor aspect of all of this and then 45 minutes passes and now you add in spiraling concern about lack of sleep. Yup, it's a delicious cycle, and we are in it!

In the interest of assuaging our anxiety, we called FFF yesterday where they told us YES we should be getting betas so we tracked down their bay area affiliate and this morning W trekked all the way to the deep east bay to get poked for 45 minutes and told that they arent able to find a good vein/get any blood. WHAT? So in addition to that being a waste of time, it wasnt exactly a low-stress way to start the morning. Sheesh!

Breathe! Again, putting on my silver lining "hat" -- maybe this will allow us to sit-back and (try to) relax, since there is nothing we can do until we return home (HA!).

UPDATE: W was told to go to the"labcor" in Berkeley for the draw, so she went, they got blood (no problem!) AND they took her insurance (unlike FFF or FFF-west, for that matter!) Silver lining, maybe? Well the results may take a few days, and im not sure we are willing to go through this again to get a true beta 48 hour read, but at least we have a static result, right?
