Happy Conception-iversary, family!

Two years ago tomorrow we got pregnant with Izzy. It was Mothers Day 2010. We did the insem at KDs house and then went out to dinner in Berkeley looking around at the families celebrating and hoping that some day soon, we would be sharing Mother's Day as a family of 3. Two years later -- here we are, again in the TWW, but this time the celebratory Sunday will be at the end of what we hope will be a successful two weeks of waiting...Im not one to get excited for another hallmark holiday, but somehow this one has really wormed its way into my sentimental heart. Friends of ours had their "lucky" IUI on Valentines Day -- again turning a typical holiday into something personally special. I guess, we should be thankful it wasn't Bunker Hill Day :)

This year W and Iz made me the best gift ever, an advent calendar to count down the days until Mother's Day so Ive spent the last week getting spoiled with foot/back rubs, home cooked dinners, and even the occasional (and much coveted) sleep-in day!

Happy Conception-iversary, family!

  1. Happy conception day! My conception day was Thanksgiving. Fortunately, it was IVF and not IUI, otherwise I'd never be able to escape the turkey baster jokes!
