I am so excited for all of the recent - and soon to be - births -- congrats to all of the new families!
In other less exciting news, we went in today for what we had hoped would be our last heart arrhythmia follow-up ultrasound. According to the tech "everything looks great" - she is still measuring ahead of schedule (~5.12lbs), practicing breathing and her movement looks great, but the arrhythmia has not entirely cleared up and since we are at the 34 week mark (when they commonly do clear up) the doc recommended that we go down to Children's for a echo-cardiogram "just to make sure everything is a-ok." He told us several times that there was nothing to worry about, so we aren't all that stressed but I am a bit concerned that once we get into the "downtown hospital scene" they may want us to deliver at the Big Fancy Hospital downtown versus our cute little one on this side of the river where our midwives are. [sigh!] Given that we will be in NY for the week next week, we were excited to score an appointment for tomorrow morning for the tests, so more to come soon..

Good luck with your echo. My littlest one, Lulu, had calcium deposits on her heart (or so we were told) so they thought she had Down Syndrome. We had our echo and all the required testing, too. Low and behold she's as perfect as can be! I hope yours turns out the same way. (Thought a positive story might help ease your mind) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm so so sorry for this scare. Good luck with the upcoming appointments/tests.
