13.1

At 13.1 weeks the puking has begun....there may be compounding factors (late night - early morning, first day of professor-hood) but....there it is none the less.

Yesterday afternoon, we returned to the same practice where we had Izzy for W's first prenatal visit with the midwifes. It felt so nice to see familiar faces and have the same woman, who has taken my blood so very many times, draw her blood. Every mention of tests and scans is an opportunity to worry about something going wrong, but as we start to tell more people, and head into the second trimester, we are starting to feel more hopeful. Once we clear the next hurtle, the NT scan on Monday, we will hopefully be one step closer to excited-mode, and we can actually enjoy this pregnacny.

In other news of things I am most certainly enjoying...2.5! You rock as much as 2, or maybe even more. Some days I am truly amazed at what comes out of her mouth. She is funny and insightful and so so spunky.

  1. So sorry about the puking. That part is no fun. Hoping it won't last long. And that the end of the queasiness plus a good NT result will mean you can both relax and enjoy things a bit more. Also, how adorable is Ms. Iz???
